INGREDIENTS: mixture depending on type of headache
INSTRUCTIONS: There are many many different types of headaches, from
tension to cluster to migraine. If you have a tension or cluster
headacheyou should try whiffing some peppermint oil, usually that will take
away all the pain or at least most of it.
For a stress headache you should try brewing willow bark into a tea.
Aspirin was actually developed by the herb willow bark. Hopefully these
remedies will work for you, they've worked for me and my family for
generations past. Good luck!

INGREDIENTS: Two Glasses of gatorade
INSTRUCTIONS: When you get a headache, drink two glasses of gatorade It really works

I am an anatomy student, and a headache sufferer.we were taught that putting ice, or a gel pac on you're head, and either sitting in a hot bath, or, if you can't make it to a bath, put a heating pad on you're feet. this constricts the blood vessels in you're head, and dilates the blood vessels in you're lower extremities, pulling the pressure away from you're head. it works quickly, and significantly.

Ingredients: tiger balm red strength
Instructions: first of all be careful to NoT get any of the balm into your eyes... Take a bit of the balm and massa--ge it into forehead-you
can also tryback of neck and temples=again be very mindful if you go the temple root and make sure it is not close to the eyes, this isnt advisable if you have very sensitive skin as it will possibly irritate it. tiger balm stains the clothes as well.the red kind is the best to use. i have had good results with the balm as has my boyfriend.another remedy is to sniff cider vinegar. just hold the bottle up to your mostil ad take a good deep whiff.do both nostrils.you can also mix it with water -a little more vinegar than water mix- and heat it on stove and breathe vapors-be mindful that the vapors are going to be hot so be careful to avoid burns another vinegar trick is to take a strip of a brown paper bag(sack) from the grocery bags and soak that in cider vinegar mixed with waterdip the strip in the mix and place it on your forehead and let it dry. be sure to shake off the excess since it will burn if it getsinto eyes. also watch your skin if it is sensitive as the vinegar could
scald your skin. there are minimal risks with thesemethods but I have had good results with these.

Ingredients: Peppermint oil
Instructions: Apply a drop of peppermint oil to the index finger of each hand, then rub the oil onto your temple in a circular motion <or any where else on your head where it hurts>. Allow the air to hit your head and you'd feel a burn on where you applied it. Then the pain will be gone. Be careful not to get ittoo close to your eyes because it will burn. When applying to you temples, be sure to keep as far fromeyes as possible and it helps to close your eyes so the vapor doesn't hurt you. If your eyes get in contact with the oil, be sure to wash your eyes out with cold running water as soon as possible. This could also work for muscle pains.
sounds crazy but works....rub bengay or any sportscream on your forehead and neck then lay down for about half a hour....works for me almost all the time.

Ingredients: tylenol and coffee
Instructions: take two (or three depending on your size) extra-strenght tylenol with a cup of coffee. be sure to drink plenty of water as caffiene can cause dehydration. to avoid migraines, I would reccomend stayiong away from srtong chemicals such as bleach, ammonia, nail polish & remover grill or oven cleaner ect. if however you like to keep a clean home, i have found that the Mr. Clean magic eraser works wonderfully. another way to ease a migraine is to rub about three fingers down the back of your neck in a pinching motion or if you are able to do so, crack your neck. if this doesn't come naturally to you, i wouldnt reccomend it.

Take a washcloth, and wet it, wring it out and place the wet wash cloth in the microwave for about 30 seconds. Carefully pick up by a corner until it is manageable to fold, then place on forehead. The moist heat is what will draw out the ache.People think that cold cloths should be used on the head for headaches, but, all thisdoes is keep the blood vessels constricted. You want an even flow of blood through your vessels, so HOT compress is the answer. Repeat this for about 15 min. with wet cloth in microwave, I've been doing this for 3 years, and haven't had amigraine since. Even my headaches have been minimal. As soon as I feel
one coming onI cook my self up a wash cloth.!

Ingredients: african kola nut
Instructions: There are different kinds of migraines, and so there will be different cures. Sometimes the blood vessels in the head contract,
sometimes they over dialate. It helps to know what you are dealing with. I have been getting cyclic hormonal migraines with my period since
puberty, as has my mother, but my grandfather got them too. You probably know if migraines run in your family..if this is your case or they are
brought on by hormonal changes, you might want to try some of my remedies. African Kola nut in a tincture is a life saver; but not if you are
prone to heart palipatations or anxiety. I take about 30 drops at the first sign, and it works miracles for me. Certainly have a cup of black
tea as well, they seem to work synergistically. Blow drying your hair and the space around your head works too, I think it alters your
electromagnetic field. That said, so does Polarity and Acupuncture, if you can afford it. The general rules, which you may already know are sta!y in the dark, don't subject yourself to noise or smell which will agravate the head. Throwing up really does move things along if you have no
way out of your situation. I think for constriction migraines some people put their feet in hot water and put ice on the head..this just makes
me vomit, which might not be welcomed. The same thing works for me by taking a hot bath, submerging my head, and then putting it under the
coldest water I can stand for 30 seconds. Kind of dramatic dialation constriction..and throw up...but it works. If you have someone willing to
give you a really deep foot rub, look into reflexology, as this has brought me a lot of relief. There is also a point in the crease of your arm
if it is folded in, about 2 fingers above the elbow..this helps. As does a point on the inner leg, about 3 or 4 fingers up from the ankle. Also try a "Still Point Inducer", its a little headrest that triggers the release of craniosacral fluid, about $20. If you meditate deeply!, you can bring this on without the headrest...for you yogis and yoginis out there, look into kundalini energy, as this is the best method yet. And, if your the type willing to try it, having an orgasm certainly does shake things up! Something for everyone. may you never suffer again.

Ingredients: Alka-Seltzer tablets & water
Instructions: You have already had your last migraine if you follow these instructions... Migraines don’t just happen they are caused. They
are an allergic reaction. The second you feel the prelude to a migraine headache (just as the prelude starts) take two Alka-Seltzer tablets, with water, every 15 minutes. (The same Alka-Seltzer you would take for heartburn or indigestion etc) “Having a migraine headache is as close to DEATH as you can get without actually dieing”…. If you are a true migraine sufferer you'll know exactly what that statement means. If you get the blurred vision, tunnel vision, blind spots ETC. then unbearable pain & nausea that sets in after about 30 minutes (& usually last for 24 to 48 hours). Also feeling out of it or being in a daze for the 24 – 48 hours & you can’t be exposed to light smells or sounds, You know what I’m talking about.Never again ! ! …. Just take 2 Alka-Seltzer tablets with water IMMEDIATELY as the symptoms start….Take another 2 in 15 minutes…. then 2 more 15 minutes after that. (Usually that is enough, but you might want to be prepared & have more on hand just incase) You’ll likely have to use the bathroom a lot but that is what you want to do so it flushes whatever chemical
reaction’s taking place in your body down the drain.Follow these instructions & you will NOT get the pain or the nausea &
you won’t feel out of it for days. The reason this works is that a migraine is an allergic reaction from something you have eaten (or often something you smell). It is much like a person that is allergic to bee stings. It isn’t the bee sting that
causes their symptoms, it’s their own body over compensating with it’s own defense that does all the damage.

I've had headaches all my life and usually go through a list of things when it gets overly painfull.

1. two excedrin are good. sometimes I crush them into orange juice
2.wash my hair.
3. put head in sink filled with ice cold water.
4. icecream is awesome (to eat) or try a healthier apple (if manageable)
5. Go sleep in your closet... it's cold, dark, and the flat surface helps
6. sometimes throwing up helps, sometimes it doesn't. (also, I wouldn't tryit if you have a history of an eating disorder, nor is this one good to do consistently)

I suffered from migranes for a long time. I found out that if you eat a granny smith apple your headache will go away. It sounds really wierd but it really works.

I get really bad headaches alot. I recently found out that a little bit of caffeine would help the headache go away. Not a whole lot just a small cup of cappuccino or coffee would help. Ever since then, I have had less headaches.

By Jasmine Chambers

Massage the top of your head where a babies "soft spot" is located.  Do this for 2 to 5 minutes and your headache will be gone.

By Paula Purviance

Drink three glasses of cold water eat a cold cup of acidophilous yogurt instructions with migraine headaches we have found that the stomach heats up, when the headache begins. Cooling the stomach as quickly as possible with cold water and yogurt have stopped my husbands migraines many times. We learned this on our own from personal experience.

Meghan O'Keefe

I am a migraine sufferer, and this is the one thing that actually helps me. Bend a wire hanger inward. Put the hanger on your head so that it is very tight. Leave the hanger on for about half an hour. You might look a little funny with a hanger on your head, but believe me, it works!

This is a remedy that I learned from a friend who suffers from migraine headaches but it works well for any headache. Simply take a tablet of niacin, this is nothing more than a vitamin that you can find at any pharmacy and many supermarkets. Within 30 minutes the vitamin causes your blood vessels to dilate, your skin may appear a little red and might even itch a little but it also opens the blood vessels in your head and seems to clear up headaches. The great part is niacin is great for your body so you won't need to damage your body with ibuprofen or other over-the-counter drugs.
