The class that is participating in this project is a beginning ESL class taught by Ligaya Vopata, who will be the contact person for the project once we are matched. It is a class diverse in age and native language.

We are looking for another ESL class so that both can practice their English skills. We hope to expand our current Web page in order to facilitate
better communications.

I am Solomon, a teacher in Ghana. I and my students are really
interested in your project. My class age is between 14 to 19 years old.They are very good in English. As you know Ghana is one of the most peaceful countries in Africa. Assuch we have many rich cultures we will like to sharewith you and yourstudent. Let me brief you about Ghana. It's one of the most peaceful
countries in Africa. The country has ten regions. Each region has it ownculture and tradition. We also have almost 50 languages, we also haveseveral tribes here, Yjis is just the beginning.

We would love to be matched with a class in any country in Africa. I don't know how possible this is, but I thought I would give it a try.

There are 8 students in my daytime class. All speak English; 3 speakSpanish; one speaks Portugese and Spanish. All are parents.

4Janet O'Rourke	I am a new ELL (English Language Learners) teacher in York, Pennsylvania	My ELL students (10th graders) are very excited to participate in the virtual classroom project. Their English proficiency is mixed ability, from very low to intermediate level. They are all native speakers of Spanish. We are currently working on the November presidential elections but will be studying the beginnings of the U.S.	The class is interested in a classroom of similar age from any part of the globe. They are thinking to do a project on the Underground Railroad system. Our class ends sometime in January, so we could participate for approximately two to three months.
