Ingredients: 1). ibuprofen, acetaminophen, or other pain reliever 2). epsom salts, one large bag with 8 drops lavender oil, rosemary oil, or eucalyptus oil added. 3). arnica montana gel (available at any health food, vitamin, or herb store or website.
Instructions: First, take whichever mild pain reliever works best for you. Wait 30 minutes to begin to absorb pain reliever. Prepare a very warm bath, adding 2 cups of the epsom salts mixture. Soak 40 minutes or more, adding more warm water as necessary. After your bath, towel dry, and liberally massage the arnica gel into areas of pain. I have had 2 major spinal surgeries and have suffered from chronic pain for 14 years. As an R.N. and mother of two active girls, I knew epsom salts soaks worked well to relieve pain and swelling. A naturopath suggested adding the essential oils and the arnica rub. This is a nightly ritual for me, and is often the only way I get enough pain relief to sleep properly. I have recommended it to many family members and patients, all of whom have reported relief. I hope it works as well for anyone else who tries it. Thanks so much for your site. I have found so many useful remedies, that now I regularly get calls from family and friends requesting, \"can you give me the name of that website again?\".
