  1. Review note taking skills (listening for key phrases & main ideas)
  2. Review oral presentation techniques
  3. Group students

 

Introduction:

Presentation:

1. Students select search engine from among three options

2. Students enter keyword, e.g., fraud

3. Students select article (Students should have different articles)

Practice:

  1. Students prepare presentation by preparing an oral summary of main points
  2. Students in groups present introduction, main ideas, and conclusion. Identifying verb tenses
  3. Students select a paragraph of at least 4 sentences identify verb tenses/voice/modals in the paragraph, and explain their usage.
  4. Students present to the class
